From Seminyak or another Bali hotel, take a private 4 to 5-hour trip into Ubud with a local guide and driver. Visit Tegenungan Waterfall, the 9th-century Goa Gajah cave temple, and Tegalalang Rice Terrace. Guides such as Ketut Ajus, Wira, Jun, and Kadek are praised for cultural insight, careful driving, flexible plans, and helpful photos.
“Wira was our guide and was extremely helpful, explaining so much about the Balinese culture and people. We came with my elderly mother and Wira did everyyhing to make her comfortable. He is also an extreskillful driver. Unfortunately the traffic in the south of Bali is horrific which meant we had very little to time to visit all the sites described in the tour. As a result we had to skip the waterfall. I suggest doing this as a full day tour if you want time to enjoy the sites instead of spending most of your time in s car.”
